MBAH, CHUKWUEMEKA CHRISTOPHER

Mr.Mbah is a self-driven and dynamic Corporate and Commercial Lawyer with a bias for Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisition, Company Secretarial and Corporate Governance. He attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained his LL.B (Hons.)before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, Abuja in 2010.
Called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, he has worked as an associate counsel in VATad Solicitors and Kenna Partners after his service year with the Ministry of Justice, Benue State. He acquired most of his core finance and project management skills whilst working as in-house counsel with First City Monument Bank Plcwith the legal team overseeing transactions emanating from the whole of south-south and south-east region of Nigeria and as Territory Manager with the British American Tobacco (BAT) Nigeria from 2012-2015.
Mr. Mbah has obtained certifications in business strategy and project management, and is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Young Arbitrators Forum, of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (ISMN), British Project Management Professionals, and a Fellow of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).

Corporate and Commercial Law
- Conducted due diligence on behalf of foreign and local entities, including preparation of documentation, review and perfection of legal instruments
- Prepared reports on corporate governance issues, project monitoring and evaluation and has also advised on corporate finance and project management, trade and brand marketing and development
- Has undertaken company incorporations, and provided company secretarial functions to different foreign and local entities doing business in Nigeria
Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
- Prepared processes for filing at the Federal and State High Courts in Nigeria and argued various applications on matters touching on title to land, debt recovery, shareholders’ rights, and breach of contract
